Rebecca Carmi

Rebecca Carmi is a Cantor, professional singer and writer who likes to cook. Over the past few years she has made the move from vegetarian to vegan, after reading persuasive studies about impact on health, learning about cruelty to animals in the food related industries, gaining understanding of the economic bloating and stripping of world resources caused by meat and dairy corporations, and by following her gut. Her husband Irad and all three of their children like to cook, so expect some guest entries.

  4. I love this blog. It makes me hungry and makes me want to cook and send you recipies.

But for now Lily wanted me to tell you about the movie “scott pilgrim vs. the world” where there is a Vegan Super-Hero (OK, he might not be a good guy, and he’s only in 15 minutes of the movie.) Here’s a scene.

    Dear TC,
I love the site! I’m looking forward to a strong future with veganism and Tofu Crossing. My wife is great in the kitchen but is shy about trying new vegan things. She claims ignorance and frustration and comments on the difficulties of planning vegan experiences that can be enjoyed by more than just a couple. She simply has not had this kind of experience before. What can I do to entice her? And are these practices safe?
    Yours, Michael
